Global Entry prescreening is taking off

After a traveler applies for the Global Entry program, a quick interview is conducted that is "cordial and convenient," writes Joe Sharkey of The New York Times. "We were doing about 15,000 applications a month for Global Entry, but the last couple of months we've done 50,000," said John Wagner, an official with U.S. Customs' Office of Field Operations.
