Music therapy can improve vital signs among preemies

Listening to lullabies, heartbeat sounds and entrained breathing sounds yielded significant improvements in premature babies' vital signs, such as slower heart rates and better quality of sleep, according to a study in Pediatrics. The lullabies also boosted babies' appetite and sucking behavior and lowered parents' stress levels, researchers found.
