Roundtable, other groups ask CFPB for help on mortgage rules

The Financial Services Roundtable, the Consumer Bankers Association, the American Bankers Association and the Housing Policy Council sent a letter to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau last week with two requests regarding new mortgage rules: a longer window for compliance and more clarity on the rules. "We want to work with the CFPB to get this right, for the sake of our customers, to avoid consumer confusion and to promote the nascent recovery of the housing market," the groups wrote.
