Some Neb. lawmakers support adding protections to Medicaid bill

Nebraska senators who want to expand Medicaid in the state could add provisions that would review the program if costs soar and build in withdrawal from the expansion if national funding falls through. Gov. Dave Heineman leads a coalition of conservative lawmakers who oppose expansion due to costs, but supporters are optimistic they have the votes to get a bill passed through the Legislature.
