Study: Hitting blood pressure goals reduces cardiovascular risks

Patients with hypertension reduced their overall risk of major cardiovascular events by 38% if they lowered their systolic blood pressure to less than 140 mmHg, according to a study in the American Journal of Medicine. Researchers found different cardiovascular risks based on the blood pressure levels achieved by patients.
