Cablevision, YES Deal So Close, Yet Still So Far

Cablevision has agreed to carry Yankees Entertainment and Sports network as an expanded basic offering in locales where Cablevision's MSG network is shown, a report says. But the deal may never come to fruition because Cablevision refuses to pay YES' $2-per-subscriber carriage fee. Both Cox and Tele-Media have dropped MSG to carry YES, and Adelphia is expected to follow suit.
