Recovery reaches NYC: Contractors add 2,500 jobs in March

New York City's construction industry added 2,500 jobs in March, part of overall growth of 14,400 positions citywide. James Brown, the principal economist at the state Department of Labor, cautioned that a one-month pop isn't anything to get excited about, though "we did have very strong job growth by historical standards."
