CFOs lead the way in the risk-management revolution

Finance chiefs can play a role in changing how their organizations think about risk management. In reality, operational and compliance risks lead to fewer losses than do strategic mistakes, such as missing a market opportunity, according to research. Some CFOs have addressed the problem by forming risk-management teams, while others are building systems to collect data to monitor risks for areas such as the supply chain.
