Mo. Senate to investigate Medicaid managed care contracts

Missouri's Senate leader has asked for an investigation into how Medicaid contracts worth more than $1.1 billion were awarded after Molina Healthcare sued the state, saying officials broke competitive bidding laws. The Senate Government Accountability Committee will look into the issue, and the Senate Appropriations Committee moved to prevent a limit on the number of managed-care contracts awarded.
