Examples of bad cosmetic surgery abound in Hollywood, and one casting director says she shies away from hiring actors who have had too much work done. For the best outcomes, potential patients should first ensure their doctor has hospital privileges and is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, says plastic surgeon Malcolm Roth, president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
