Crowdsourcing shakes up clinical trial design

Transparency Life Sciences developed the Protocol Builder tool to obtain input from experts and patients for designing clinical trials, and the company expects the crowdsourced model to result in more relevant trial protocols. TLS is also using remote monitoring for its trial of an adjunct multiple sclerosis drug, reducing costs and providing more robust information. TransCelerate Biopharma, an international consortium of 10 large biopharmaceutical companies, is picking up on the trend in an effort to streamline the clinical trial process.
