HOA, community groups restore neighborhood's open space

About 100 volunteers from Boy and Girl Scout troops and the Idaho Creek HOA near Longmont, Colo., spent Saturday planting trees and shrubs and clearing debris in the neighborhood's open space. "The open space was a nightmare," says HOA President Jill Peck, who led the event. "It was an eyesore until we got to it, and with some sweat and volunteers, it's really becoming a nice area."
