Ill. GOP chairman survives ouster attempt over marriage views

An effort by social conservatives to oust Illinois Republican Chairman Pat Brady over his support of a pending marriage bill failed this weekend, but Brady's tenure may not last much longer. Party leaders have approved a succession plan that could see Brady replaced within six weeks.
