NBCU looks to have multiplatform hit in Syfy's "Defiance"

NBCUniversal's more than $100 million investment in multiplatform science fiction franchise "Defiance" is showing early signs of paying off. The TV edition on Syfy launched this month with a solid 2.73 million viewers, while a related video game from Trion Worlds triggered 200,000 pre-orders in advance of its April 2 release.
