N.Y. bill would end collaborative agreement mandate for NPs

New York State Assemblyman Richard Gottfried, D-New York City, introduced a bill that would give nurse practitioners the authority to practice without a collaborative agreement. According to the language of the bill, called the Nurse Practitioners Modernization Act, mandatory collaborative agreements restrict access to care and "no longer serves a clinical purpose."
