Prevention and palliative care can work together, even helping people with serious illnesses accomplish their goals, Dr. Lyle Fettig, associate director of the Palliative Medicine Fellowship at the Indiana University School of Medicine, writes in Pallimed. Fettig said National Healthcare Decisions Day, which was Tuesday, shows the intersection of palliation and prevention through the use of advance care planning.
