Verizon's Seidenberg talks assets, upgrades

Although he doesn't anticipate making additional major acquisitions, Verizon Communications CEO Ivan Seidenberg said his company remained interested in smaller wireless carriers. In the meantime, the company is upgrading both its wired and wireless networks, spending $18 billion to give subscribers access to a speedier fiber-optic link.
