Smartphone payments expected to beat credit cards by 2020

Most consumers will be using their smartphones to make payments by 2020, many tech experts say. In a Pew Research Center survey, 65% of tech experts said mobile payments would outpace credit card use, though 33% said consumers wouldn't trust mobile technology to replace cash and credit. Even if mobile payments become popular, they will just mean more options for consumers, some said. "When credit cards arrived, checks did not disappear, and neither did money," said Geoloqi CEO Amber Case.
