ARM boosts big.LITTLE adoption with new licensing terms

ARM Holdings is promoting use of its big.LITTLE dual-processor architecture with a new single-use design license. In addition to the Cortex-A15 and Cortex-A7 processor cores, the license takes in the IC design company's ADB-400, CCI-400 and GIC-400 designs. ARM reported Wednesday that it has 17 licensees for the big.LITTLE architecture.
