Federal Reserve: Housing, autos drive moderate U.S. growth

What is termed a moderate U.S. economic recovery was widespread across regions, with particular strength in the housing and auto sectors, the Federal Reserve says in its latest Beige Book survey of businesses. Consumer spending, meanwhile, grew modestly while unemployment registered no more than slight improvement in the period covered, from late February to early April.
