Guest-of-the-day programs build excitement, hoteliers say

Hotels can add a guest-of-the-day program to their service initiatives as a surprise boost to guests' check-in experience, hoteliers say. "Seeing someone get 'guest of the day' creates a fun environment no matter what. It doesn't matter how stressed out a guest is, it works like a mind trick," said Bill Spencer, general manager of the Hilton Memphis.
