Helipad gets second life as a green roof at Mexico City tower

An unused helipad has been transformed into a green roof and work space at the headquarters of Coca-Cola in Mexico City, according to this article. The roof consists of xeriscaping and pocket vegetable gardens, which are irrigated through harvested rainwater. Solar panels on the helipad generate 3.84 kilowatts of energy, while the plants take in over 178 pounds of carbon dioxide yearly.
