IT obstacles must be addressed to reap Big Data rewards, survey says

Transitioning to the Big Data realm would require new skill sets and new personnel as well as overcoming existing issues tied to IT funding, data ownership and silos, according to a MeriTalk survey of 17 leading federal and industry Big Data thinkers. The survey also notes that it would take three or more years for federal agencies to reap the benefits of Big Data.
