Most underage drinking-related deaths are not from driving

Sixty-eight percent of alcohol-related deaths involving 15- to 20-year-olds in 2010 were not traffic fatalities, but were from homicides, suicides, alcohol poisonings and other causes, according to an analysis by Mothers Against Drunk Driving. "I think we're not as educated about all the dangers that drinking before age 21 can be related to," MADD President Jan Withers said.
