Ohio school to host manufacturers, colleges

An Ohio high school is hosting 20 local manufacturing companies and colleges equipped to prepare students for work in these fields during a summit aimed at closing the skills gap. "There's this idea that manufacturing is a dirty job that doesn’t pay well," said Karen Tercek, president of the Willoughby Western Lake County Chamber of Commerce. "It pays well, there's good benefits, there's opportunities to move up, opportunities to continue your college education ... great opportunities for students interested in science, math and working with their hands."
