Pa. district to deploy propane autogas-fueled school buses

The Gateway School District in Monroeville, Pa., will deploy school buses that run on propane autogas next year under a six-year agreement with Student Transportation of America. School officials test-drove one of the buses and were satisfied with its performance. "It was very quiet, a much more quiet ride, as a I understand, than the diesel powered. The exhaust fumes are minimal," said school board President Steve O'Donnell.
