Small doses of financial advice go a long way, studies say

Americans need financial advice, a report says, but they may not need much to make a difference. Just eight hours of financial counseling cuts the rate of mortgage delinquencies by more than a third, a study from Experian found. Another study by Stanford University's Institute for Economic Policy Research found that occasionally providing retirement-income projection data led workers to increase their contributions.
