State leaders push against federal regulation of fracking

Texas, Utah and Ohio state leaders testified before the House Natural Resources Committee on Wednesday against federal regulation of hydraulic fracturing. The debate comes as a new draft rule is expected this year from the Department of the Interior on hydraulic fracturing on public lands. Last year's proposal called for companies to publicly disclose chemicals used in the process.
