Western diet is linked to heart risks, unhealthy aging

French researchers said a multiyear study found that people who followed a Western-style diet had a lower chance of achieving ideal aging, which included being free of chronic conditions, and a 53% higher risk of cardiovascular death. The study will be published in the American Journal of Medicine.
