Gulf Air to dress its seats in fuel-saving leather

Gulf Air is seeking greener and more cost-efficient flights through re-covering the Falcon Gold class seats on its A320 fleet with a lighter leather that will help conserve fuel. Designed by Scottish leather maker Andrew Muirhead & Son, the Voyager leather is 30% lighter than traditional leather and could result in a one-year fuel savings of $200,000.
