NPD: Good news, bad news for 3DTV adoption

Is the 3DTV glass half-empty or half-full? NPD Group released a report last week that says consumer awareness of 3D LCD TV sets grew to 36% in February compared with 28% five months earlier. Consumers also had a higher familiarity with 3D plasma TVs and Blu-ray players. NPD added, however, that the price of 3D sets and the need to wear special glasses has kept a lid on sales.
