Healthy MEdia Commission releases media definition report

"Elements of a Healthy Media," the first report from The Healthy Media: Commission for Positive Images of Women and Girls to define the elements of a robust representative media, was published this week, according to this press release. "The Healthy MEdia Commission supports efforts to increase the number of female characters in the media and ensure that female roles, images, and portrayal are authentic, balanced and healthy," said co-chairs Academy Award-winning actor Geena Davis and former Federal Communications Commission Commissioner Deborah Taylor Tate.
