Personalized e-mail increases CTR, not just open rate

Personalizing e-mails in subject lines can improve open rates and counter-intuitively influence click-thru rates even more, according to this case study. AWeber tested seven different variations on subject lines. Against all expectations, personalized pushes had a 5.13% higher average open rate and 17.36% higher CTR.
