Ariz. provider confirms data breach

Arizona Counseling and Treatment Services announced a data breach affecting around 3,000 patients after a laptop and external hard drive were stolen from an employee's home. The hard drive was not protected, but the laptop, which had tracking software on it, was disabled. The drive contained no financial information or Social Security numbers, but protected health information was stored on it.
