EBay says it added 2.8 million mobile customers in first quarter

EBay said it sees mobile as essential to future growth. The online retailer added about 2.8 million more mobile customers in the first quarter and is experimenting with retail-location check-ins via its PayPal division. "We are integrating mobile into every aspect of our business," President and CEO Jack Donahoe said.
