Group taps M2M technology to support human-rights activists

Civil Rights Defenders, a human-rights organization, has launched a project to leverage machine-to-machine technology to mitigate the dangers faced by activists. The Natalia Project is developing connected wristbands that can pinpoint a wearer's location in case of an emergency, such as an abduction, and notify the closest emergency-response officials.
