Higher hair cortisol levels linked to greater diabetes, CVD risk

Older patients in the highest quartile of hair cortisol levels had a higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease compared with those in the lowest quartile, a study indicated. The results appear in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism.
