Experts in Japan are calling for a greater focus on safety at school Judo competitions, citing a trend of serious injuries among student-athletes. Some say the root of the problem may be the culture, which does not favour giving up -- leading to concussions and other injuries. Among the ideas suggested are greater training and certification for instructors.
