BMW's plant in Spartanburg, S.C., is able to expand its material-handling operations through the use of hydrogen fueling systems from Linde. Hydrogen-powered cells allow forklifts and other equipment to consistently run at full speed. "It proves that our technology can help advance sustainability and lower emissions while also helping to improve the bottom line," Mike Beckman, vice president of Linde's U.S. hydrogen fueling team. The hydrogen Linde supplies to BMW "is truly green, with only a small carbon footprint incurred during shipping," he added.
