Md. releases RFI for $4B light-rail projects

The Maryland Transit Administration has issued a request for information on two proposed light-rail projects in Maryland. The 16-mile Purple Line project is estimated to be worth $2.5 billion, while the 14-mile Red Line project is worth about $1.8 billion. The MTA also released renderings of two new stations to be built along the Purple Line in Maryland. Work is expected to begin in 2015.
