Panel: Teacher development is key to Tenn. student achievement

Good teachers and good data are the main ingredients to improving student achievement, according to participants in a recent discussion on education hosted by the State Collaborative on Reforming Education in Tennessee. Developing top teachers, however, starts with recruiting and training future teachers while they are still in school and getting them necessary classroom experience, participants said.
