Physical activity may not be a key factor in childhood obesity

Data on 119 preschool students ages 3 to 6 revealed normal-weight and overweight participants did not show significant differences in physical-activity levels, suggesting that exercise rates may not be a key factor in childhood obesity. However, researchers found that children with lower socioeconomic status had greater body mass and media consumption.
