Scandic went green in the '90s -- and stays green now

Scandic Hotels in Stockholm is changing up operations in its kitchens, replacing inefficient stoves and ovens, among other moves. Since 1996, the company has monitored its monthly electricity, heating, cooling, water and waste disposal usage -- something that sustainability director Inger Mattsson says helps to keep track of its environmental impacts.
