Sprint sets up evaluation panel to consider DISH bid

Sprint Nextel has set up a committee to consider DISH Network's $25.5 billion bid for the company -- a bid that DISH says makes the most sense in terms of national security. At the same time, Softbank has removed Barclays as the financing bank for the $20.1 billion deal it signed in October to acquire Sprint. Barclays is now advising DISH on its bid, sources say. DISH is asking U.S. regulators to suspend the review of Softbank's offer while DISH's bid is considered.
