Study rejects link between digoxin, mortality risk in A-fib patients

Taking digoxin does not increase the risk of mortality, hospital admissions or incident nonfatal arrhythmia in patients with atrial fibrillation, according to a study published online in the European Heart Journal. Researchers analyzed data from the AFFIRM study and found no significant difference in rate of all-cause death between digoxin users and nonusers.
