Wise: NBCTs improve classrooms, become leaders

Former West Virginia Gov. Bob Wise, chairman of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, attended a recent event to congratulate new National Board Certified Teachers in Wood County, W.Va. While there, Wise credited the district for leading the way in providing stipends for board-certified teachers and for its support for the National Board. Wise said that NBCTs not only improve teaching and learning, but they also become leaders in their schools and districts.
