Analyst: Vendors prep for oncoming wireless "data tsunami"

Because wireless data grew 160% last year and mobile video is predicted to account for two-thirds of wireless-data traffic by 2014, it's no surprise companies are expected to spend $126 billion on IT and wireless upgrades this year. Vendors and businesses are just trying to keep up with a continuing avalanche of mobile-network use and demand. "It's a data tsunami," said Scott Sutherland, a tech-stock analyst with Wedbush Morgan.
