Davis talks gender equity with Sarasota students

The Geena Davis Institute on Gender and Media is partnering with the Sarasota County School District and the Sarasota Film Festival to offer students workshops on gender inequity so that young people can play a role in changing today's media stereotypes and provide students a unique film making opportunity. "We believe the Sarasota Film Festival and its award-winning outreach and education department are perfect partners for us as we launch this initiative to educate the next generation of filmmakers about gender stereotypes and portrayals of female characters," Davis said.
