Studies show promise of regenerative medicine

Newly published regenerative medicine studies funded by the NIH, Medical Research Council U.K., Wellcome Trust, Roddenberry Foundation and others combine genetics, biology, robotics, chemistry, engineering and computing to restore vision, cardiac function and limb function. "What these [studies] have in common is looking at repairing systems in vivo," said Robin Ali, the lead author of one of the papers.
