Most office spaces aren't designed for 21st-century collaboration, Anat Lechner writes. Companies need work areas that facilitate three kinds of work: individual, two-person cooperation and group collaboration. That means having diverse spaces designed for a range of activities and social patterns, including rooms built for teams. "It's time to align the physical with the strategic," Lechner writes.
